A Message From Our President

When it comes to insurance, people often times hate dealing with the hassle of shopping around.  I understand this because I once felt this way.  Often times, I would keep paying whatever rate I was given just so I wouldn’t have to deal with an insurance agent or insurance company.  Money was easy to come by and there was plenty of it.  Suddenly l woke up one day and found out that our country’s economy started to take a nose dive.  I took a step back and thought to myself, wow, this is the greatest country in the world and we (our country) can’t pay our bills.  It’s now difficult for businesses to open lines of credit at the bank, friends and family are getting laid off left and right, people’s homes are being foreclosed on, and now money is not so easy to come by.  I’m not going to lie and say that I didn’t want to cut my expenses as much as possible, just like the next guy.   Of course just like you probably did, I thought of cutting my insurance bill.  Enter the mind taxing and confusing questions of insurance.  How do I minimize my rate without minimizing coverage?  How do I maximize the value of my coverage and still get away with paying less?  We all think it and we all want it, at least the majority of us do, we all want to get the most “bang for our buck”.   Who really wants to go around telling everyone about the horrible deal they got?  I’d like to meet that guy.  I could sit here all day and tell you about how great our insurance agency is, or how much experience we have, or that we can save you thousands of dollars a year on insurance, or about our great service, etc, etc.   Although these things may be true of us and are also good points for any company to make; where does the client fit into all this?  I feel that companies these days often times focus on how great they are and less about what they can do for the consumer.  To top it all off they use the same tired marketing clichés and silly gimmicks.  I often romanticize about a simpler time when a man’s word was his bond, business deals were transacted with a smile and a handshake, there was honor and integrity in all business dealings, and chivalry was alive and well.  I won’t sit here and feed you sweet nothings to entice you to pick up the phone and call us but what I will promise is that if you do call we’ll do everything in our power to make you a satisfied client and if for whatever reason we can’t help you, we’ll refer you to someone who can.  Gasp! Why would a company do such a thing?  The answer is simple; we conduct ourselves with honor and integrity and at the end of the day; aren’t we all really in this together?  The economy isn’t powered by just one company alone; it’s a collective effort of all businesses big and small.  It’s time we bring our businesses together and help one another achieve prosperity.  The sum of the parts equals the whole and Capital Underwriting is here to do its part and help our fellow business man or woman because we’re just like you.  Our clients are more than just customers to us, they are partners.
